Backstory
Fal, Flare, and Toxica found Aspen's egg while on a diplomatic mission to Dragonhome, and brought it back with them on the return trip. Aspen hatched midweek during the Rockbreaker's Ceremony. He was a timid hatchling at first, but became a bit more confident with the support of his adoptive sister, Cassin, a female wind mirror about his age. From a young age, Aspen's favorite pastime was reading. His preferred genre was fantasy fiction, full of stories about brave warrior dragons who beat their enemies against all odds. His greatest dream was to be brave and heroic like his heroes, despite his timidness. As a hatchling, Aspen discovered his talent for writing. He started out writing simple short tales about heroic warriors, and later progressed to cleverly complex stories that captured the attention of his clanmates. He has begun to fill a small corner of the Clan Phantom's library with his work, and he occasionally makes money selling copies of his stories at the marketplace. He also serves as the clan's scribe, archiving important information and penning letters to other clans.
Personality
Aspen is a bit shy and timid, and he has a passion for literature. He prefers the more action-filled stories. While, as a fae dragon, he does not display emotion very well, his writing portrays the emotions of his characters with an understanding beyond his years. He is very skilled at writing, and he hopes to someday be a full-time author. When not scribbling down ideas for his latest tale, Aspen can be found hanging out with his close friend and adoptive sister, Cassin, who is always happy to listen to his anecdotes.
