Biography

grain and husk are two mages renting not one, not two, but MULTIPLE berths in the window of mango pirate canyon. their berths are split up for different types of customers: those with the treasure to pay for private rooms, and those without. the withouts instead can pay for access to a large communal room with dozens of other dragons packed in for protection against the flash floods that rage through the canyon during storms

they're different in their storm room rental service as they not only offer the actual space, but guards as well, crafted and puppeteered by their own magics to do their bidding. husk keeps them waterproof, and grain mimics dragon-like behavior to put customers interacting with the puppets at ease. these guards perform a variety of tasks, from moving luggage, keeping out non-paying dragons, using their bodies as physical barriers against flood waters, and becoming impromptu blankets/nests for frightened dragons and hatchlings as needed
