Biography
Another Imperial at home neither in his birth flight nor with the Light dragons, Rafflesia left the Plague flight not with creeping ennui as Caerulea had but in a panic. He feared his work as a scientist would be taken and used for means he was no longer able to abide, so taking his tools and machines with him, he left. At first he considered fleeing to the Arcane flight, and indeed they likely would have welcomed him, but the journey west proved more treacherous than he had expected, forcing him to reconsider and travel north instead.
There, he wandered for some time before meeting Caerulea, to whom his story was not unfamiliar, and the two bonded quickly, happy to have found others equal to them—despite Imperials’ tendencies not to engage with each other, they were both a little strange anyways, and were happy to break from one more tradition.
Now, he spends most of his time tinkering. He and Spectra have a friendly rivalry—the clan has no shortage of scientists, after all—but they both deeply respect each other, even if he finds Spectra’s alchemical methods confounding and if Spectra finds him to occasionally be painfully dry.
