Emerald

Like all Guardians, Emerald has dedicated himself to upholding his charge. He was a solitary dragon for much of his young life, until he crossed paths with an abomination of a hatchling that had been cast out of its original home, and as if by divine purpose he knew he must protect this little monster. Great things would surely come in this Aberration's lifetime, but for now only time will tell.

Emerald has established himself a small lair in a floating ruin off the coast of the Windswept Plateau, a place where magical currents from the Starfall Isles still linger within the overgrown structures perhaps originally carved out by a long lost Sirthis clan. Here he alone watches over the youngling now named Glitter, although he has an ally or two within the ranks of another clan who supply him with food and resources.

As Glitter quickly grew up, Emerald found himself worried that soon she might leave the nest and carve out her own path in the world. Aberration instinct flows in her veins after all, and she already enjoys testing her strength against him despite weighing over a hundred times what she does, and he worries she might eventually seek out bigger and more powerful opponents to prove herself against.

That worry has led Emerald to adopt a number of other young dragons, and even enlist the help of a young Fae named Lumi to take care of them. He's also opened up his hideout to a growing family of Serthis, who have just as much if not more of a claim to the old ruins as he does, and the two clans live almost entirely as one.
