LORE
I began my existence further from the stars than I would have liked. My egg was one of a clutch of four, laid in an underground cavern half-submerged. My parents were unable to stay, for reasons I do not know.

When I emerged from my egg, I saw for the first time a scene of tragedy and grief in which I, the only one who Fate extended her protection to, was the epicenter. The shells of my sisters and my brothers were destroyed, smashed by a far larger, far more dangerous creature than myself.

Yet their deaths did not bother me. I suppose I ought to regret the fact that they do not walk the timelines, yet I cannot understand how doing so would result in a more preferable future.

No, their deaths were a sacrifice ordained by a higher power. One required in order to maintain the universal balance of entropy. The trade was necessary, for one with such infinite potential like myself could hardly exist otherwise.

Perhaps I shall one day convey my gratitude by rising into the ranks of those who are known as Grave Keepers.
