Biography
Bonefall
Though Bonefall dragons are fiercer in appearance compared to their cousins, with their characteristic pale skeletons casting almost a strange eerie glow in the dark of the depths, they are no less gentle than their Whalefall counterparts. The image of spiny, skeletal armor through the murk may be intimidating, but these dragons lack the markings their other Whalefall kin naturally develop as they grow into their duties. Where a traditional Whalefall guardian would use its gift of foresight to find its next site of interest, a Bonefall dragon trusts intuition and vast knowledge of the ebb and flow of the seabed to chart its charge’s path through the trenches.
Lacking the ghostly markings of the magical type, they adorn themselves with bones harvested from the bodies they lead their charges to, waiting until their community has finished entirely with feeding before taking one or two of the remaining bones for themselves. It may take years before their foraged "markings" are complete, but even in the early stages these dragons can be easily recognized by the scavengers they love to care for, and communities will form around them just as readily as they do for other Whalefalls.
