Iru works along side Root and the other animal rescuers as a frog and toad specialist as she noticed all the frogs and toads haven't had anyone to care for them. She read up on what all she can do for them in the library and started helping as much as she can with the knowledge. As she continues to work with them, Iru gains more knowledge about the needs of each and every single frog or toad she tends to. Working out what's best and what's not the best is what she'll be struggling for a bit until she feels like she got a handle on it.

Iru takes extra care when it comes to the various poison dart frog breeds known to dragon kind that is under her care before she let them back out once she is done helping them get back to the proper health. She'll occasionally let Legolas take a good look at the frogs before deciding if he wants to take them into his woods or not. Iru'll take pointers from him about how toxic the frogs can be due to the toxins secreting out of their glands. She'll wear protective gear when she checks up on the species and seeing how they're holding up. The help she receives from not only Legolas but from her other friends makes her as happy as she can be, letting them hold the frogs if they have the correct gear on.

Iru doesn't take much breaks from working hard on keeping the frogs and toads unless she's feeling under the weather or is invited to spend time out of the rescue. She enjoys being at the rescue as she learns so much from working with all the toads and frogs that have come in to get treated. Iru doesn't mind if she over works herself so long as she can be able to tend to those in need of her help. Her friends always invite her on visiting all parts of Sornieth for sight seeing and helping others on their travels when they feel she needs a break for a while.

Iru enjoys watching the frogs and toads interact with each other despite the many differences there is between the two very different sets of species. Her love of watching them is like Odecrass's love of watching vipers do their own thing. Iru helps as much as she can with whatever problem arises with either of the species. She'll do what it takes to keep the problems as far and few as she can by making so many solutions to problems she thinks of and half the time it works.

Iru's sense of humor has always brought laughter when days have been tough to deal with or just need a general sense of happiness when needed, even if said day is already great from the moment one would wake up to the moment they fall asleep. She's always trying to cheer up everyone around her with her silly antics and great attitude but sometimes it's just not enough to brighten a dragon's day. Although she doesn't mind that she can't always be of great help by trying to make them laugh, she's there to just listen if it's required or for a shoulder to cry on when it becomes too hard to handle. Iru will put others feelings above her own when it comes to her friends and family and the occasional acquaintance she has met once or twice. Her heart is in the right place for bringing sad feelings up to happy feelings by laughter, by letting others hold the frogs and toads for as long as they wanted or just by being there.

Sometimes Iru will go to other woods to be on her own for a certain length of time to recharge her social battery. She's ok with leaving the frogs and toads with the other animal rescuers to take care of for a couple of hours as she gave them a basic run down and lists of what all they can and cannot do or have. She always comes back with a great report from the frogs and toads about how well they were taken cared of. Iru is glad to have friends to watch over the frogs and toads while she spends time away for the recharging.
