Praia

Praia is Portuguese for Beach :)


A dragon of the sandy shores of the beach. Careful not to step on her, she blends right into the sand!


Ever since she was a hatchling, this water primal had a special interest in— you’ll never guess— water. If there is any source of water, even still, like a pond, she would easily become distracted from anything she was doing, drawn towards the liquid and the living things in and around it. She’d often hop around with frogs and toads, or chase the fish from the safety of the shore. Sometimes, she dive right in. It seems she never needed air to breath, as if she has a set of hidden gills.

Praia has a little control over water as well, this control being heightened in the land of water, ice, and arcane. Praia also happens to simply like the dragons here, getting to know them since her mother is very peaceful, as well as beautiful and a well acclaimed artist. She met Polonium, a kind, multi-eyed spiral who happened to be traveling with his clan leader Tremo as she ventured into the land of the sea for one of her cartography projects. Praia and Polo quickly became friends, partly because they both had abnormal eyes and felt seen. Praia, who was looking for a new lair, decided to trust the two arcane dragons after Polo informed her of the other primals who were beginning to move into his lair. Instead of moving into the primals’ cave, however, Praia chose to stay in the currently empty Summer cave, happy to have an entire room to herself, even if only temporary, much similar to Carol, who felt more at home with the other icy, wintery dragons than other primals.
