 Borrower Brigade Brains

AutumnLeaf found the first member of the Borrower Brigade by sheer accident: Betula hatched just as he emerged from one of his tunnels and into the hatchery of a nearby clan. The hatchling immediately imprinted on him before AutumnLeaf even had the time to figure out what error in calculation had landed him in the hatchery rather than the vault. Unable to resist Betula's happy squeals and fond headbutts (as well as her quickness in relieving him of his beaded bracelet), AutumnLeaf adopted the hatchling on the spot.

Betula is quickly learning the delicate art of borrowing, and can constantly be seen carrying other dragons' shinies into her own little hoard, as well as being by AutumnLeaf's side in almost all of his tunneling expeditions. She is doted on by her adoptive dad, pampered by Berberis and Treasure, and absolutely adores Dryad, being particularly fond of nuzzling the latter's long, flower-covered mane.

Spoiled as she is, her companion is a soft, gentle Golden Bantam Fangar whose acquisition made a sizeable dent in AutumnLeaf's personal fortune, but who was completely worth it, seeing as all of the Borrower Brigade loves him and takes him everywhere and sleeps on cuddlepiles with him. They named him Syrup. And that's cute.
