Biography
Aviva | Warrior, scavenger and fence | Chaotic evil | Thirty-second
Mate to: Rind (Ex)
Awakened Familiars: Snowfall Elk, Amaranth Moth, Carrioncorn, Enduring Goblin, Basilisk, Grouse Basilisk, Sickle Kamaitachi, Five-toed Pilco, Crumbling Goblin, Goldenplains Poodle Mith, Armored Duskflapper, Swamp Wolf, Warbound Capyhog
Other notes: None
Aviva is cunning, snakehearted dragon that can be persuaded to do anything if money is involved. Angry and proud, she tends to avoid company, and when she can't avoid it, she takes out her pent-up aggression on whatever unlucky clanmate happens to walk in her way. She bullies, henpecks, and criticizes everyone, making jabbing remarks wherever she can, and she is generally just a pain in the neck. Few dragons will put up with her aside from Hecuba, who values her for her merciless fighting skills rather than her influence on public relations. Aviva is indeed a terrifying force in battle, as vindictive with her claws as she is with her words, and she is notorious for looting everything that might be of value, no matter how unpleasant the source. She is certainly not above scavenging, and since she hates being around anyone living, she spends most of her days away from the clan, usually in the dusty wastelands of the Shifting Expanse, searching for valuables unnoticed by those who fly up higher in the sky (occasionally Ashan will send her on a haphazard side quest to find some odd ingredient, with the promise of a monetary reward). She also sometimes fences off Brandy's stolen wares, although she usually pockets a hefty part of the profit, and the two dragons generally hate each other. They keep their relationship professional.
Although none of her clanmates know, they wouldn't be surprised to learn that in addition to being a nuisance, Aviva has been stealing from the clan's treasury for years, with the help of Brandy, which is why the clan always seems to be broke no matter how hard it tries -- and when the bookkeeper, Faustine, figured them out, they intimidated her into silence. The grand climax of their plan, if they ever get around to it, is to full-scale rob the treasury and run off, stopping to pilfer the whole of Smaug's secret hoard along the way -- and, of course, unbeknownst to Brandy, Aviva fully intends to ditch or kill the Fae and ultimately keep all of the treasure for herself. Fortunately, neither of them have quite gotten up the nerve to screw their clan over yet, because they know Hecuba would take it extremely personally.
And nobody wants to see Hecuba in a mood like that.
