Born the eldest son into a family of gothic eccentrics hailing from the Starfall Isles, Reaper (better known as Ray) is the "White sheep" of the family on account of being best described as "just some guy" and overall completely uninterested in the doom and gloom aesthetics or archaic wealth induced hysteria that have been passed down his bloodline for generations. Reaper's announcement of his plans to join a humble career of agriculture and his departure from his families brimstone castle on the hill was one filled with agonized banshee wails and heirloom china shattered against blood red damask print wallpaper. Almost in an act of fate clawing him back into his rightful path of a vampiric lord with a tragic backstory, the shock and horror of the affair struck his mother dead on the spot and fatally wounded his father. Mostly unshaken in his chosen destiny Reaper continued on, handing the inherited wealth to his most corrupt and unstable sibling to become a farmhand amongst the common folk. Reaper views himself as completely devoid of his families extravagance, in reality he is strange in subtle ways harboring an unspoken ideology based upon the idea that performance of manual labor until degradation of the body, denial of pleasure or respite, and the discipline of a unshakable daily routine will grant him an entry into a selfmade afterlife where you silently watch God carve a wooden chair for eternity and if you make a sound you get ricocheted directly into hell, which is where you watch another god silently carve a chair for eternity with increasingly lower craftsmanship as the cycle repeats unto itself. |
