dBdxNdo.png Hong'er was born under an unlucky star to poor parents, with heterochromia - one red eye. As a result, he was fated to live a short and miserable life, and to bring death and misfortune to all who knew him.

However, when Hong'er was ten years old he was saved by the Crown Prince of Xianle- Xie Lian- which changed the entire course of his existence, and gave him a reason to live.

When Hong'er was a teenager, he enlisted in the Xianle army during the county's civil war, where he was presumably killed on the battlefield. He refused to enter into the cycle of reincarnation, choosing instead to stay by Xie Lian's side.
