Cruel fate warps the forgotten. Nature rejects them. The rest fear them. None are safe for as long as they wander the lands between.

The lands where Arcane and Plague meet are where nightmares are born. These borderlands are a strange and unforgiving place to all dragonkin. Few who venture from the paths in this place will ever return. Those who travel on the marked paths tell stories of horrible noises in the night that make even a Gaoler's blood freeze. It is said that these noises will drive some mad if they are exposed to them for too long.

There are unconfirmed sightings of strange, warped beings who prowl the area. Often dismissed as cryptid stories, those who claim to have seen living creatures in the area describe fantastical features and blurry images. No one ever claims to have a good look- they are always too far away. Those who attempt to get close don't come back. Or at least, they don't come back in one piece.
