Nauta

Rarely spending long on the shore, Nauta spends his time with the clan drawing up plans for and constructing boats to take out on the Sea of a Thousand Currents. While he rarely spends long on the shore, he also rarely spends too long out on the sea in one outing, making tagging along with him a minimal commitment for any dragon that wants a change of scenery. Despite his large, intimidating appearance, the Guardian is friendly and inviting, always happy to educate any curious dragons on his building methods, the way his seacraft work, or how he manages when out at sea.

Nauta often brings Countershade, Chaetodon, Siren, or the other oceanic hunters along on his journeys, enabling them to catch more and bring it back to the clan, as well as enabling them to reach areas farther from shore that their wings would tire before they reached without him. He tends to bring frequent passengers out on the same seacraft each time, selecting one best suited to their needs. The familiarity makes it comfortable for his passengers, and also earns Nauta some help with the maintenance of the craft as they grow familiar with the day to day tasks. That's not all his passengers grow familiar with, however, and long after they return to the shore they can often be heard humming songs learned from the seafaring Guardian.
