Pox
↠ The Afflicted

"There is a taint that is within the Afflicted. A darkness that pervades us, compels us, drives us to rail against the light."

Pox is a mere shell of the dragon he once was. He has no recollection of his birth name, nor his own age and birthplace. He doesn't even remember how he was infected with this vile concoction known only to him as The Pox. He has no idea of who he was and hasn't a clue of who he is now. All that he knows is The Pox and so The Pox is all he is. He doesn't have many thoughts now, all of his energy spent on combating the disease that burns in his veins, but he often finds himself wondering on who he ever was. And if he could ever return to a normal state again. Whatever choices he took to achieve this sickening form he deeply regrets, if only he could remember what he got himself into then perhaps it could be undone. Perhaps he could live truly free again. But for now, with The Pox pumping through his heart and across his entire lean length he can only fight off the infection while scrambling in the dark for a cure on borrowed time.

The Pox leaves one not only sickly and weak of the body, but it also seeps into the mind and decays the Afflicted one's very sense of self. If The Pox inhabits one, then one is not truly one any longer. There is a sense of being infected, not of body nor of mind but of the soul. Another presence within your body.
