Spoons Somna-Scientist “If you don't dream, you won't die, but even you won't be alive without them.” |
|
Just like her Parents, Spoons has grown to love the colorful world around her and be her own dragon, independent from any code or programming. She even goes as far as to completely ignore the fact that she is made out of metal and behaves like any other organic creature would. Eating food she can’t taste, taking breaths she doesn’t need, taking naps without the ability to sleep - physically she had no need for all these things, but everyone else did it, so why shouldn’t she? However, one day while mimicking sleep, something weird happened. She dreamt. Spoons couldn’t properly remember what her dream was about when she woke up, only that she was excited! Dreaming like a real dragon! For a while she feared these dreams might have only been due to faulty wiring or some weird short circuit, but all physical checkups showed her in perfect condition. And as the dreams continued each night, she was sure: She was the first dreaming robot! But why keep this gift only to herself? She wanted to share this amazing ability with all her brethren. She just didn’t know how. After all she couldn’t even figure out why it worked for her. So she did what any logic thinking creature would do: She became a scientist! Not just any kind: A scientist specialized to sleep and dreams. A Somnia-Scientist (Name is a work in progress). The first of her kind! As she conducted her studies, she heard rumors of a strange dragon, far away in the Scarred wastelands, with the ability to shape dreams. Of course Spoons saw it as her duty, to find out more. And thus she met Schattentraum, who agreed to help the young Gaoler with her studies, which in turn then joined the Flock. |

Quote:
At first it was dark, very dark. They could not see a thing; enclosed in a small, dark space. But they could hear everything, albeit slightly muffled. The clanking of gears, the whirring of fans, the buzzing of lights.
Eventually, they grew too big for the cramped space, and craved something new. They clawed and scraped, headbutted and struck, until finally, after a dull cracking sound, light poured through the hole in the egg shell. Pushing their head through, the little Gaoler looked upon the new world.
It was beautiful.
After looking around, the Gaoler found they weren't alone. In a ramshackle nest of water-damaged rock entangled in wire, three more small mechanical Gaolers were looking around in wonder and amazement. These other Gaolers seemed to be of varying mechanical quality; some were rusted and made noise with every movement they made, and some had glistening metallic skin, and were able to move fluidly with little noise.
A loud thump echoed around their surroundings. All the hatchling Gaolers snapped their necks towards the sound, when more thumps occured, getting closer. But they felt no fear; they had no reason to be afraid. Around a gap in the rocky, wiry nest, the giant figures of their parents emerged. Although their parents; 026 (Keshet) and 268 (Lydia) weren't designed for showing emotion, the sight of their first hatchlings together made them feel elated. They promised the little Gaolers that they wouldn't suffer as they had; that they could live their lives as they wished, they would make sure of that.
If this dragon is no longer wanted, they will always be welcome back with BrokeMortal or on an adoption thread♡
This dragon was not put up for adoption with the goal of being exalted.
