Aliyah had a troubled life growing up. Her father she didn't see often for the reason of his unpredictable nature, but his younger sister Rhain was a ranger by heart. Since childhood, Aliyah was taught how to survive in the wilderness. It appeared she showed potential of being a ranger like her aunt Rhain until signs of psychic abilities surfaced. Her father never appeared to possess psychic intellect, so it was to believe she was crazy and talking nonsense of her traits. However her great grandmother Elizabeth saw it from a different perspective.

Elizabeth heard of Aliyah from Rhain as she was thrilled that her descendant was a gifted individual. Unfortunately her limit of not becoming a Time Lord because of her father Dolan being ressurected by The Organization, but a spirit healer or warrior was not far reached. It finally came due time for Aliyah to create her own path in life. Also it helped her show confidence and strength. Even if her great grandmother wasn't around she seemed closer to her than what the eye could see.

The change from living with her aunt Rhain to Elizabeth who pulled her far away from her dangerous father , Aliyah began to be taught the basics of clairvoyance. It was difficult in the beginning to accept her gift as a tool fora good purpose. She probably would not be one to be out in conflict as much be a voice to warn of danger ahead.
