Somehow, he's not a vampire. Chupacabra just has a taste for very raw meat raised by conscientious shepherds, sue him! Chupacabra truly embodies the word "beast," despite being as sentient as any dragon. He does not care that his favourite meal hurts others, that he stinks like the Wyrmwound, or that Qilin really really hates it when he leaves the entrails of his meals in the compost pile. ("But that's where discarded food is supposed to go?" "Nearly-whole bloodless corpses are not 'discarded food,' Chupa!!!")
Honestly, though, Chupacabra isn't a bad guy. He likes sculpting figurines with the natural clay near the river, and decorates the Bolthole with the change of the seasons. When not eating or hunting, he's really easy to hang out with... if you can stand his rot-meat-sweat smell, that is.
