Somnus always had bizarre dreams. Even as a hatchling, her dreams seemed to have meanings in the waking world. The dragons in the clan she was born into didn't believe her, so young Somnus set out to find a clan that might trust her.
While exploring the Starfall Isles, she met Mydryin and her clan. The dragons there believed her and believed that her visions were real. She fits easily into the clan, but tends to mostly keep to herself. She spends a lot of time sleeping.
When a pair of dragons, Seranida and Malin, joined the clan, Somnus fell in love. She is now in a happy polyamorous relationship with them.
Somnus is known for her lazy nature, and how in tune she is with her dark visions. Other dragons in her clan are quick to come to her for advice, and with questions about their futures. Somnus may not be the most friendly dragon, but she tries to be helpful and serve her clan to the best of her ability. She's been encouraged multiple times by Mydryin to directly serve the Arcanist with her visions, but Somnus insists on staying with her clan. She is fiercely loyal to her clan, her friends, and her partners.
