Biography
Khalida, The Harbinger
*Plague Ambassador*
"I come for all who grow, crawl, and walk.
I am the perfect hunter.
In the end, I am always the victor.
Who am I?"
Khalida is very lively - if a bit tactless - for an envoy of the Plague Fleet, to whom she is extremely loyal. Her voice is unusually soothing for a Plague Mirror, yet her words can be remarkably blunt or lewd, regardless of her immediate company. To her, "honesty" is as simple as pointing out hypocrisy and logical fallacies, or announcing when one is feeling lustful. Her words often carry profound wisdom, though one must pick through her caustic criticisms to find it.
In reverence to her parent fleet, Khalida proudly bears the trappings and faith in The Plaguebringer's truth that all life that is destined to grow is equally destined to die. Life is short, and should not be wasted on politics, lies, and silly pipe-dreams. The only goal in life is to live and to die.
Death is a reward to be earned for passing the trials of the living, however, there are many ways to die; death by combat is a high honor, death by age is to show remarkable endurance, death by murder deserves vengeance, and death by suicide is the ultimate in cowardice.
There is no avoiding death by any means, and to honor the omnipresence of death, Khalida has sacrificed her eyes and sight, binding it through dark means to the eye on the body of her companion Death Seeker. For so long as the Seeker remains unfettered, Khalida has unprecedented vision of her surroundings, allowing her to avoid ambushes and track prey no matter where they hide.
