Biography
Hawkwood || Crestfallen Pyromancer || Woeful || Seeking || Ashen ||
"And so it is, that ash seeketh embers."
Once a skilled Pyromancer born amongst a Swamp Clan that cherished the primal form of the Flame, Hawkwood was content to preen his skill - a cheerful and proud youngster. An extension of one's very soul, the Flame is precious and coveted amongst Pyromancers, the act of teaching another the art being the most vulnerable act of trust. However, it is of utmost importance that the wielder acknowledges the primal power and always fears the Flame, should they happen to get burned. Hawkwood was always cautious, deeming his loss all the more significant. In an attempt to learn the art of the primal pyromancies, the Tundra happened across ancient scrolls penned in tarnished runes. Reciting the words however stripped the the reader of his flame; the segment of his very soul, leaving only a gaping hole, hot to the touch and pulsating with remnants of terrible magics. The writing wound omits twisting tendrils, branch-like and creaking, digging into flesh and bone. The pain is minuscule in comparison to that of having lost his flame. Ashamed and hurting, Hawkwood slunk to the murkiest depths of the swamps, happening upon the Brotherhood and settling amongst those who have no knowledge of his failings as a Pyromancer. Lingering and crestfallen, the sorrowful Tundra desperately searches for a method to regain his Flame, all the while spiting those who pursue their own goals. |
