E R Y L I S
vampire occultist

You strode along the white marble path, mesmerized by the reflected light from the water that made the coloured turquoise stripes shimmer. All around you, dragons milled back and forth while those of the clan managed their wares. A whiff of sandalwood and vanilla caught your nose; an odd thing out here in an underwater temple.

You decided to follow your nose, weaving through the crowds and down a small set of steps that curved around the terrace onto a lower level. You followed them down to see an entrance leading through a dark tunnel. Where the door would be were long strands of glittering red and violet beads. You pushed through them, the beads tinkling and clinking behind you as you moved forward. The smell was strong here, and a soft light beckoned you from the end of the tunnel.

Finally reaching the light, the strong, relaxing earthy scents were visible; the smoke from incense drifting across and up toward the stone ceiling. You shifted your wings a bit as you swiveled your head to take in the new shop you found. A tall wooden shelf stood to your left, stuffed with all kinds of incense. Skulls of varying sizes and species decorated the walls and empty table spaces. Crystals, candles, carved stones, vials, statues, herbs, and other magical items scattered the tables around you. Against the walls were numerous shelves full of books; you caught a glimpse of books on spells, astrology, divinity, and strangely, vampires. On another table sets of beautifully illustrated tarot cards were laid out on display.

You got lost in all the trinkets and items that you missed the feeling of being watched as you came in; a chill ran up your scaley spine, and you turned to peer into the fading light of a far corner. Two blood-red Veilspuns watched you from a table lined with golden filigree and hanging vials of dark red liquid. They were nearly identical; the one lying with their paws crossed neatly in front of them sported a dark red mane, while the other who sat tall and proud had a deep violet hue. They watched you calmly, emerald eyes blinking every so often.

You opened your mouth to speak...

---

"Hello." interrupts the dark red Veilspun. Her emerald eyes glitter almost unnaturally, you think.

"Welcome, to Sanguis Aeternus. You may call me Erylis. Are you after something specific?" she asked, her voice rich and full for a dragon so tiny.

You stumble a reply along the lines of just browsing.

"Of course." she replies smoothly, sweeping a paw to indicate the rest of the shop.
"If there's anything you need, please don't be afraid to ask. I can explain anything to you; magics, spells, potions. My sister here is an expert in divination and astrology. If you have more metaphysical questions, ask her." the Veilspun continues, somewhat snidely.

At this her sister chimes in, showing off a grin with some unusually long canines.

"I promise we don't bite, much".
