Victory

Victory assumes she was given her name for a reason, but her parents wouldn't say what the occasion was. She spent her hatchling days tumbling around a crowded lair. Her clanmates meant well, but it was just too easy for a tiny dragon to get stepped on accidentally, lost in a crowd, or even occasionally forgotten. Craving the intimacy of a small family, Victory set out on her own as soon as she was big enough. She didn't exactly what she was looking for, but she knew she needed a change.

She ran into the white spiral Nimbus on the Zephyr Steppes. Nimbus was shocked to see a Shadow Flight dragon so close to his home, and while he stuttered his confusion, his twisting flight patterns became even more erratic than usual. Despite having lived in a clan with various dragon species, Victory had never learned to speak the common draconic tongue, and she began to fear that Nimbus was going to attack her. She offered him a rare bit of metal that she happened to have in hopes of averting a conflict, but Nimbus became even more confused and landed in front of her to try and figure out what she meant by it. Panicking, Victory attacked.

Unfortunately for her, the colossal guardian Stirling is never far behind Nimbus, and he was quick to rush to the younger dragon's aid. Dendrobates and Eulalia arrived just in time to save Victory. With their ability to translate, they defused the situation and smoothed over all the hurt feelings and suspicions.

To make up for the misunderstanding, Shay invited Victory to eat with her clan and spend the night in their lair. When she saw how comfortable young Victory seemed with Den and Eulalia, she asked her to join the clan. Despite misgivings about Stirling and Nimbus (and Nimbus's practical jokes during dinner did NOT help), Victory decided to stay with Shay's clan. She enjoys living with a smaller clan and is slowly but surely learning draconic with Den and Eulalia's help.
