Centuries after the first age, after the time of the godly dragons that formed the earth and Beastclan was just getting started is where our story starts, in a rather peaceful untouched forested mountain side.
During a warm autumn even is when it happened, the forested hills were resting and swaying in the evening breeze when a thin trail of dark smoke slithered up into the clear blue sky. That one strand of smoke lead to a growing fire, its origin unknown to the forest as the warmer air incubated it and the breeze picked up its embers and dusted them around the mountainside. It was only a matter of time before the whole mountain was engulfed in flames, the sun has set during this time and the moon looked to be stained red from the glow of the ragging fire over the once tranquil mountain side, this monumental natural stature disturned the ground as trees toppled, ripping up roots and losing rocks, seeing landslides lose to hail down the sides of the mountain and crush anything in their wake. The fire lasted days, it continued to spread and eat all the vegetation with its glutinous flames, but this once lush and thriving forest didn't just have a good climate to thank for its past success, unbeknownst to the surrounding clans, which were thankfully out of the range of the fire, there has been something else to contribute to the forest’s life. This catastrophic inferno was the last bell to finally wake this being from its age-long slumber. The charged and stripped ground buckled up and caved in with a monstrous growl, the surrounding crisped trees were ripped down as it seemed the earth itself was coming to life before it came exploding up and a rain of embers and soil showed around a form, dwarfing the burnt trees and glowing with churning magma from its body and limbs, two enormous wings spread wide as a long devastating roar, one of soar and anger filled the mountain side. A dragon, one of nearly divine proportions had been woken, its home taken and destroyed supposedly by the world's own forces and now it was fueled by rage and its body tainted by the flames just as its home had been. —————————— |
