Hatched and raised in the waters of the Hewn City Bay, the Marenkin consider themselves closer to the Maren that have cared for them than the dragons living above the surface. As such, they fight beside them and help defend their homes when teams of dragons plunges into the deep for vengeance or simply as a premeditated raid.

Much like their Maren brethren, the Marenkin ingest poisons during their training, slowly immunizing themselves to them over time, until they can use it as a deadly weapon, should a foe manage to bite them. Some of the Marenkin - those who have longer bloodlines, usually - have even gained the ability to produce poisons themselves, and inject their foes with it with their deadly bites.
