SUBSPECIES LORE

A bird-like subspecies of dragon created by arcane means, the royal duskwings (so named for their royal purple wings), have become nearly extinct. Fewer and fewer eggs were laid, and what few hatched bore what their parents called the "new blood" of their subspecies.

Most notably, the new blood dragons do not always bear the royal colored flight wings of their predecessors. As such, the "royal" designation was dropped save by some of the few that retained the color. In addition to the new range of wing colors, the new blood almost always only have two wings instead of the old blood's four or six. The scales of the new blood also may not always cover the limbs and snout as uniformly, further testament of the subspecies' continued departure from their original crafted form.

Due to the the decline of the secluded old blood lairs, most of the new blood have scattered throughout the land in search of new homes.

Requirements for New Blood Duskwings:
-Iridescent primary gene
-Bee secondary gene
-Scales, Koi, Runes or Opal tertiary gene
-Must be Skydancer or Wildclaw
-Any eye color / flight association.
-Any wing color, but Royal secondary color gives them the optional "New Blood Royal Duskwing" moniker

PERSONAL LORE

Formerly an occupant of a lair that prized neutrality to what Sedre considered a fault. Though she never directly challenged tradition by taking a stance of her own, she often questioned Alyria's strict hold over the lair's position. As such, eventually Sedre choose to leave. Not to join any conflict that her former denmate feared, but to embrace neutrality through her own freedom.

She and her followers have no permanent lair to call their own. In fact, they only live in the Star Wood for part of the year. They often roam to the south into the Windswept Plateau, trading with various clans of skydancers while there.
