Biography
Ikeya had never truly fit in his previous clan. They valued strength and power above everything else. He'd spent most of his life training; his body bathed in the blood of his enemies, but in truth he was more interested making apparels and dressing up. Due to this he left his clan in order to live his dreams. Unfortunately, there were no clans willing to take him in, until he stumbled into Ashfall Waste and was almost mauled by another coatl.
They fought for awhile, claws scraping against the other; Ikeya had to admit, this warrior was strong enough to push him back. They fought for who knows how long until they both collapsed on the hot ground. He surrendered himself to his inevitable death, after all that was how it was done in his previous clan.
Just then, another coatl approached him, offering him food after the fight and called the other coatl as well; he heard her call his opponent 'Alanna' or something like that. Ikeya was so shocked at the lack of malice that both coatls showed him and asked them why. He was given a simple answer as "yous not enemy then yous friend."
It was during the meal that he was introduced to Avangarde the clan's leader and his mate Kineala. They greeted him with warm smiles and open arms. He was also quite shocked that the clan leaders were much weaker than Alanna and yet, the coatl respected them.
"Strength doesn't lie only in physical prowess," Kineala had replied to him, overhearing their conversation. "To be strong doesn't mean you don't have weaknesses, it means that no matter your weakness you can overcome the obstacle."
Days go by and Ikeya is grateful to be in this clan. He had expressed his wishes to learn how to make apparel and Avangarde was kind enough to find him a mentor. In exchange, he helped protect the clan just like Alanna.
