Divider-107x50-2.png 		The Shadowspark Explorers have always been a family of mixed elements (there are so MANY eggs that drift to the depths... don't these surface dwellers pay better attention to their nests?). Because of this, the family group is more eclectic than the mostly-water-born communes. The Explorers have experimented over the years with ways to adapt the eggs they find soon enough to change the hatchling inside to an Undertide. Their technique was perfected when the elders, Maren and dragons alike, realized that they could magically imprint the genes, personality, and memories of a dying member of their community onto the still-forming embryo. In this way, not only do the eggs they find get the ability to survive the pressure in The Deep but the clan never truly loses any of their members.

While they are not outcast, exactly, the Shadowspark clan is considered odd because of their seemingly immortal status. They have changed few of their members over the years because they so assiduously seek out new eggs to keep in the stasis of the coldest waters until they are about to see the passing of one of their own. As such, it is rare for the clan to lose any of their family to permanent death unless their bodies are unable to be recovered. Since the rest of the dragons in The Deep have known them for countless generations, the clan is almost sacred to the community but their strange practices still sometimes make individuals nervous.

When the Elder Council decided to send up envoys to the dragons above, the Explorers were of course one of the first clans to volunteer. Their age and experience, along with their ability in magic and knowledge of the centuries to draw from, made them an ideal group to reestablish communications with the "new" dragons coming closer to their territory.

Luckily, when the family surfaced, it was directly into the protected Starhaven Bay that was the heart of the Chaotic Daydreams lair. The dragons in this clan were such an eclectic, unusual group themselves that they were instantly charmed by the new arrivals and offered them a place to stay as long as they were attending to their explorations, research, and reconnecting with the world above the waves. No one is quite sure when to expect the comings and goings of the new dragons in the lair, but both clans are happy to forge an alliance and get to know each other. Everyone involved is quite sure there will be countless things to see, learn, and do as their communities mesh. 		Divider-107x50-3.png
