captain of the deserted seahog, she and her sister (attis) were former royals of a corrupted system they desperately wanted out of. taking refuge on a ship they saw docked one night, they come to realize it's a pirate's ship once they are found out the next morning.
luckily they were able to escape these pirates once they planned to bring them back to their mainland, to receive the plentiful reward they would be promised, once returning the princesses. attis tells sedai that they think she'd be a wonderful captain, if they were to sail the seas on their own.
and that's what they do. picking up anyone running away from home on the way, offering them shelter and a speedy escape.
