He really enjoys mind games like jigsaw puzzles, mazes, and other 3-dimensional puzzles. He is always reluctant to take them apart once he completes them, and several more challenging pieces stay assembled and on display in his den

  • It's not uncommon to find both of Vargas' heads doing their own separate puzzle. Other Aberrations find it a little overwhelming, as many are used to relying on their twin for those sorts of things.
  • His third eye can see through illusions, glamours, and other similar magics. It's saved his life more times than he'd like to count.
  • Vargas sometimes dabbles in animation spells for little clay golems he crafts. He doesn't see any harm in it and treats it like another type of puzzle.
  • He's entirely self-taught in the way of animation magic. His own unique magic manifests as archaic runes, written on the golems themselves, that make up their functions. A friend once likened it to the coding in a robot.
  • His most recent venture is trying to give weird, cursed Serthis-Harpy-monkey hybrids intelligence. So far, he's succeeded in giving them memory and scaring the beejezus out of WhipStitch.
  • Vargas adores dragonets . . . . when they're not breaking his mirror maze, that is.
