Marleigh

Marleigh met Jinx when she was exploring the caves and tunnels of RavenRock. She is fun-loving and prone to playing jokes. She was using the shadows of the underground caves to trick an unsuspecting dragon into becoming lost in the maze. It was later discovered that that dragon had been bullying weaker dragons of the Clan. Marleigh led the dragon down a random tunnel, accidentally happening upon the entrance to a tomb that was guarded by Jinx. Jinx's uncanny ability to cause accidents kicked in, and Marleigh's victim tripped and fell into a large trench filled with stink-acid that the Tomb Guards had set to deter intruders. Marleigh fell over from laughing so hard as her victim attempted unsuccessfully to clean his scales of the stinky sludge.

Jinx noticed that Marleigh had appeared to be unaffected by her curse, and recruited her to join her. Marleigh was hesitant at first, preferring to continue to explore and play tricks on other dragons in the Clan rather than take on such an important responsibility. Eventually, Jinx and the other Tomb Guards convinced Marleigh that joining the ranks of the Guards would not mean the end of her fun completely, and she agreed.

Marleigh sailed through her training, seemingly with talents that were ideal for her new role. She rose through the ranks of the Tomb Guards, quickly becoming a favorite of the other Guards when she and Jinx became fast friends, and it was discovered that that Jinx's curse did not seem to affect Marleigh in the same way that it did other dragons. As a result, Marleigh and Jinx are often on duty at the same time.

Marleigh takes her responsibilities seriously, but still finds times to play her tricks on any unsuspecting dragons that become lost and wander into restricted areas or the rare dragon that is brave and foolish enough to attempt entry into the Tombs.

Eventually, Marleigh took over as the Shift Organizer for the Guards. Now, if a guard wishes to switch shifts or change their detail, they have to go through her. She is organized and detailed, using her ability to read energy and emotions to resolve disagreements and disputes between guards and keep things running smoothly, but is not above playing jokes or other humorous games before she will sign off on any alterations.
