Zyrephon's past is as shadowy as her former flight, but from the little she has said, a few things are known. In chronological order in her life, here is what the other dragons of her new clan know.

First is she was born and raised in The Tangled wood in a fighting clan. It was rough but she says she appreciated the harsh start to her life as it taught her to be strong at all times. She fought in many battles with other clans and flights.

Her strength was shown in a skirmish against a large Plague battle force. As her clan were well known for their strength in the Shadow flight, they were sent up against them. Zyrephon is unclear as to whether it was a conquering mission or a defending mission.

Although Zyrephon's clan were strong the Plague force vastly outnumbered them, and they were crushed, leaving the young Zyrephon alive and permanently scarred from the infected cuts of the opposing force.

She exiled herself from her flight out of shame, and wandered for an undetermined amount of time. She aimlessly wandered until she heard rumours of a travelling witchdoctor who could heal any Plague wound

And so she found herself at the door to Dresden's lair, and the witchdoctor tried all she could but couldn't rid Zyrephon of all her afflictions, but managed to reduce the pain and the scars. Zyrephon appreciated the effort and the way the clan was run and decided to stay.

Now she helps teach hatchlings a little about combat, and she helps guard the lair, quietly content to help protect her new home instead of attacking and constantly fighting.
