When the dawn comes, the Shadows disperse. The darkness weakens and its grip falters. No one knows this better than Gloaming. Born with a preternatural ability to sense danger for her small family, she has become an early warning system for the Twilight Court. This is extremely useful for a tiny sect of tiny dragons. While she is no Water Flight oracle and cannot tell one's destiny or anything so specific, dire things afoot never escape her notice.

Some say she is the child taken by Silverbow in a deal made and broken, yet others say the veilspun is one of the first of Shadowbinder's ancient children. Gloaming doesn't know the truth herself. In fact, she only remembers Oberon and Silverbow as parental figures, though she does not remember hatching to them necessarily. It does not matter. They cared for her when she was but a hatchling, supported her growth, taught her important skills, and continue to stand by her side and value her insight. The three are nigh inseparable.

Though she's a quiet, contemplative sort, Gloaming is the easiest of The First Three to speak to and get to know. One must consider deeply, however, if they wish to befriend Gloaming, for her visions of danger can be difficult to hear. But to gain her as a friend and ally is worth the trouble, for her loyalty is unmatched, her caring a warm embrace.

Perhaps not as tricksey or malicious as her adoptive parents can be, there is still a touch of mischief to this little veilspun. A good practical joke amuses her and most of those she would play are harmless. She dislikes harming others unless there is good reason. Even when harm is necessary, Gloaming is more likely to lead her adversary into an unfortunate situation, a pitfall from which they cannot escape, and let the environment do the dirty work for her. If there is blood on her claws, it is always as ephemeral as her bearing.
