BIOGRAPHY
Despite her bloodshot eyes and gaunt features, Scala is one of the most pleasant dragons one could hope to meet. Bubbly, friendly, and always full of energy, Scala is something of a workaholic, and acts as the Refuge's resident nurse. Her healing magics have... interesting effects, to say the least, but their results are undeniably effective. Having studied at the Blight Sanctum for years, Scala is an old master of her craft, and her youthful energy belies her true age. She feels whole when she's helping good people and conversing with her patients, but has difficulty taking time for herself. Self-sacrificing to a fault, Scala has a tendency to feel unfulfilled when she's not actively working. Squeamish dragons are easily unsettled by her powerful plague magic, which she uses to reshape flesh and scab over deep cuts. Her work is unconventional, but she is certainly dedicated to the art of healing, and her small size allows her to willingly explore open wounds to patch people up. She doesn't seem to find her practice gruesome at all, and to her, all that matters at the end of the day is that her patients leave happy and healthy. Still, her complete lack of unease when confronted with even the most grievous of wounds is unsettling to some.

BIOGRAPHY
Growing up among a group of nomads in the Scarred Wastelands, Scala quickly learnt to prioritize adaptation and survival. She took to her clan's teachings quickly, and studied all she could of plague magic; learning how to burn away flesh could be molded, adapted into a method of healing. Her clan appreciated her work, and she spent many years helping battle-hardened warriors recuperate. However, she later decided to study under the mages at the Blight Sanctum in order to temper her skills; her clan reluctantly agreed. Scala is a highly resilient dragon, and her history in the Wastelands combined with her study at the Blight Sanctum made her a perfect candidate for a field medic among Plaguebringer's armies. She enjoyed healing those in need, but her personal values clashed with some of her more bloodthirsty comrades. In a gambit to take control of her life, she slipped away into Light territory, settling in the Refuge. She enjoys the company of everyone in the Refuge, and takes great pride in acting as their sort of country doctor with all the answers to every problem. Still, she can't help but feel that her talents aren't needed very often.
