Sariel

Sariel and his mate Niari were both hatched from stray eggs found in Light Flight territory, and raised in a small clan, orphaned dragons adopted by scholars researching Sorneith. They grew up with a strong sense of curiosity, and when they reached adulthood, they decided to split off from their home and form their own clan of researchers, with a very specific focus: Luminax, the risen Emperor. The young adults, Pearlcatchers raised by forward-thinking Pearlcatchers, strongly believed in unity and disliked the rift between the two children of the Lightweaver. Sariel in particular was fascinated by the funeral rituals of Imperials, and was enchanted by stories of Luminax's formation and subsequent rampage. He vowed to learn more about this undead dragon amalgamation, things like how they died and why they weren't properly buried, as well as why and how only Imperials have to worry about such a horrifying afterlife for their bodies. Niari, though more afraid than Sariel, would still brave such danger with her mate, and accompanied him as he set off to establish his clan near Emperor's Wake.
