(Daring Deputy)
Raised by a feared warrior of a father, Hawk hopes to be a fighter just like him-- except they're less enthused about the journey to get to that destination. They not only leap horns first into every possible encounter, but also deliberately leap at immense challenges and large enemies, eager to prove their worth to themselves first try. However, this same overestimating impulsivity is the very thing that prompts their father to push them to the sidelines; he hopes to teach his child the importance of practice and knowledge, but Hawk only sees his father's actions as a display of a lack of faith in them-- causing a rift. The clan's gentle leader has identified an inferiority complex of some sort in the Banescale; the kind of thinking that makes one believe that if they don't succeed first try, they're an irrevocable failure.
