i am plague, i am sickness. i am the worm in your subconscious. i am a perpetual presence.
time and epoch have no bearing on my form. i am the devourer of viscera, of bones, of hope. i am the fear, the little death that kills rational thought. and fear never dies in one's mind.

you would do best not to interfere. submit yourself to your god.
you feel ill just looking in this thing's direction. it doesn't seem to have a definite shape either--shifting from something vaguely draconic to something terrifyingly other. the locals worship the thing, whatever it is. it eats a couple of the townsfolk each week.

there's no telling where this thing came from. the first recorded appearance of it was from a busted trail camera left up by one of the wandering huntsman that lives in the area. it crawled up out of the abyss, all shifting parts and flickering form. the camera promptly fizzled out into static, then it was gone. the camera looked half melted when it was retrieved.

whatever this thing is, its dangerous. normally, the background radiation of the area is livable. somewhat risky, but livable. whenever this thing shows up, all nearby geiger counters tick off the charts. if you see it run, before it takes you too.
