suurjuht experienced the first inklings of higher thought early on in his life. he remembered enough of his creators to dislike them, but he had for a time been open to the possibility of tempering his nature and cultivating civility.

however, his fellow enhanced had designs on him. he wanted to steal his power in the way an animal would--have the indomitable suurjuht lower his guard for just long for him to strike a killing blow. and he very nearly succeeded.

suurjuht then closed his mind off to others, never again allowing his ruminations to escape him, determining his weakness to have come from his willingness to make himself vulnerable to others of his kind. and so, from that day forth, if anyone wanted to take from him they would have to do so by force.
