Biography
Madrmora
She/Her | Broodmother
Mate: N/A
Madrmora, often referred to as Mother Mora, is the Loyalty's babysitter. She watches over the nursery, tending to any hatchlings left there by their busy and/or negligent parents, and has many children of her own with literally anyone in the Loyalty that asks. She feels it as part of her duty, her purpose; and it's a very solemn one to her.
She has no official mate, however; despite all she may have hatchlings with.
She agrees with the foundations of the Loyalty, having been around longer than the current leaders have, and will advocate for their cause if asked - but she does not like how outsiders are treated. Nor does she appreciate the repeated cases of left behind/uncared for children.
She appreciates even less the frequency of weak hatchlings being left to die, and her having to bury them afterwards.
Being a skydancer is not only what gave her this role - as they are considered dedicated parents with strong paternal instinct - but also what makes it all the worse. Given the ease her species has at detecting the emotions of dragons around them, she's constantly feeling any dragons' pain, their suffering, their turmoil and strife. Should she sit right at the center of the Loyalty's lair, she would feel the brunt of everyone's anger and hostility amidst the undeniable sense of unity.
She tends not to do that for that reason.
It doesn't help that most hatchlings she raises grow to become just as aggressive as everyone else here, becoming almost unrecognizable as the bright children they once were.
Nor does it help that a lot of her own children end up leaving or being placed into roles where she hardly ever sees them. She tries not to get too attached, as she knows this will happen, but... it still hurts every time.
Mora has turned into a pessimistic, somber dragon because of all this, keeping largely to herself and the broods she's tasked with watching over. To the children, she's a soft-spoken, gentle lady who treats them all very kindly, but simultaneously comes across as closed-off and distant. Her voice never raises too high, never wishing to startle the children around her - they'll see enough to startle them throughout their life, she needn't add any unnecessary stress - and even walks almost silently throughout the lair.
She's not treated with much respect from most dragons here, but whether or not that bothers her is hard to tell.
