Uila

Her mother, Hokule'a, was born in light, carrying the Lightweaver's eyes. She settled on the Windswept Plateau, where the unpredictable winds made her fate unpredictable as well. She and her friend, Cracao of Lightning, rowed out on the Sea of a Thousand Currents one night for moon viewing. That was when the Stormcatcher struck Hokule'a with lightning, claiming her for himself. The Supermoon was the only other witness.

As a precaution, Cracao and Hokule'a made a nest to solicit the protection of the Windsinger, but they discovered their single hatchling, Uila, was obviously already claimed by the Stormcatcher as well, so Cracao and Hokule'a raised her up in anticipation of Uila being called from them to fulfill whatever fate the Stormcatcher had in store.
