Officially the eldest of Alto and Timbre's first nest by a few seconds, and perhaps the most distinct of the four due to xir gregarious nature. Unlike xir more reserved parents and siblings, Hutia is an endlessly energetic socialite who delights in the attention and company of others. Xe may seem the scatterbrained type at first, but xe is actually quick-witted and highly observant—being fast on xir feet has saved xem from many potentially awkward situation—and xe is gifted with an almost-photographic memory (which comes in handy with tracking a packed schedule and keeping up with all the latest news). Xe has both a taste for luxury and a love for adventure, and readily accept invites to glamorous balls and wilderness expeditions alike.

Though Hutia seems to have inherited xir parents' talent for handling familiars, and is not opposed to their company in general, xe has little interest in maintaining familiar wrangling as a career. While xir parents' interests do not really overlap anywhere with xir own, Alto and Timbre have done their best to "support" Hutia's interests, usually by serving as a ready ear to stories of xir latest outings and woes.

Hutia's friends have commented that career paths like diplomacy and event-planning would suit xem well. Hutia brushes their suggestions aside; xe is a bit uncomfortable with the idea of being saddled by "responsibilities" and "duties". As of now, Hutia seeks an unburdened life where xe is free to encounter exciting new experiences and interesting new dragons.
