Bees in Sornieth are wild. Imagine the bee apparel on an imperial. Those bees are, like, canonically almost fae-sized. Huge fuzzy round bois.

Anyway, Poppy's a beekeeper. Very important job. For a city of its size, Kaiator is surprisingly self-sufficient in terms of food production, with vast vertical hydroponic fields and a variety of vat-grown meat products. This infrastructure was critical during the war, and, of course, the bees (of all sizes) were a crucial part of it.
