"No one was sure as to why Aeth was found frozen within the lair of the Whispering Frost, just that he was there for as long as any of the dragons could remember. Only a cryptic note carved into the ice eluded as to the reason for his fate: "Op-n o-ly if /-- is lost, --st the --g- ----/- again."

Aeth would remain in his prison until the clan's oldest enemy; the Embers, had invaded and set out to destroy the bloodline of Whispering Frost. Out of desperation, Verglast released Aeth from his deep slumber where he erupted forth in a dizzying display of magical, technicolor nightmares. Aeth said only one thing before turning the oncoming enemies inside out, 'What did the beached spiney whale say after finally returning to the water? LONG TIME NO SEA.'"

To this day, the chaotic dragon’s origins remained a mystery as he would always change the story as to how he got there and the reason why he serves the family.
