Alkaid is a valentine and a gift. He loves to cheer dragons up on bad days. He is a lover of all things good and pure.

Alkaid gently snaps off a pink gem from his wing. It does not hurt at all, and the gems regrow often, so he does not worry about bald spots. He offers this gem to a lonely looking creature.
“Sugar candy,” he says.
The creature takes it to inspect, then nibbles on the end of it. Their face lights up at a moment. “May I join you, wherever you are headed?”
“That is fine,” responds Alkaid, “I plan to go home to my clan and visit with friends.”

The gems covering Alkalid’s body are actually sugar candies, they grow with more frequence depending on how much sugar he eats. (Ex, fruit, pastries, etc.) He will give these crystals to friends and other folk in an attempt to cheer them up when they are upset. They also have mild magical properties, which can be helpful for alchemical baked goods.
