Iruzuri

Iruzuri and Belzebi met in the Order as young novices and quickly bonded over their similar background and hardships, for they both were earth-born gaolers now serving in the frozen fortress.

They each came from a set of Seeker parents who made the unorthodox choice of nesting outside of ice territory. Such things so rarely happened in the order, that there really would be no law or precedent with how to proceed with such occurrences until years later, after a few dozen foreign born gaolers had already been admitted into the order. Unsure and puzzled on what to do, the elders would reluctantly welcome such hatchlings into the mainland, while they gave a stern yet cautiously curious look to the rebellious parents.
In a decade or so after the two gaolers met, it ultimately would be written down as a misdemeanor, only admissible if a good reason was given for fathering gaolers in foreign elements.

As far as the poison of prejudice goes, it could have been worse. Gaolers would meet dragons like Iruzuri only once or twice in their lifetimes, so there was little opportunity to gather prejudice towards dragons like him, and most doubts and mistrust were cleared if the “foreigner” proved themselves to be as dedicated to the cause as their ice-born brethren.
