Biography
"... Then the child opened his eyes, and sure enough, he had become an angel, like the Lightweaver promised. He now happily joined all the other angels, and together, they grow flowers on the earth during spring and make snow fall during winter, making the world a more beautiful place," the young imperial finishes her fairytale, earning a wave of clapping among the hatchlings.
"Another one!" cries a little tundra.
Oracle smiles faintly, "Alright. I'll tell you another story."
She loves her current job.
Oracle was born with many eyes and strong foreseeing powers, so naturally, her clan started training her to be its next oracle. Everything she did was to assure her of her destiny, from her name to the hobbies she must or must not have. But she knew that she doesn't want to be an oracle: it's too stressful! Seeing into the future gives her headaches! She doesn't want to live this life that was forced upon her.
She ends up running away. In her travels, she has realized her love and talent in storytelling. It is like an alternative universe that has all its interesting people and whimsical story lines: she loves it. And she is wonderful at it too. Dragons toss her treasure, and sometimes a gem or two, when she tells the fairytales on the street.
She has stayed with a sanctuary for a short while. During that time she was the baby sitter of all the hatchlings: another thing she's good at. She has told plenty of stories to them, and they overwhelmingly support her.
Soon enough though, she gets the news that a clan is hiring for someone to take care of their young. The position fits her, so with excitement, she applies for the job and leaves the sanctuary.
It is wonderful there; dragons are nice to her, and with time, treat her like family. There are no pressures to do anything she doesn't want to do. With a stable home, sometimes she starts dreaming. Will she find someone who loves her? Will she have a family? She loves hatchlings, and the thought that one day she will have her own little bundles of joy makes her feel all bubbly.
Sometimes, she reflects on her past. Running away is the best thing she has ever done. The younger her hasn't realized how toxic her birth clan is. To be completely honest, she hates them a little... but that is all behind her now, for she has a new life to live.
