One of Sinistral's scattered offpsring, she had written him off as another beloved, but ultimately quaint son. At least, until he tracked her new home down, and came to share with her the stories of his exploits.

Never one to shy away from adversity as a hatchling, following Sinistral's departure from Ghostsripes nest, Pearlheart set off on a pilgrimage in perhaps the worst direction - Into the scarred wastelands. Seeking to find his way and make a name for himself, the boisterous Tundra tried his hand at hunting the strange creatures of the waste, and became a recognized peddler of hides and meat - At least, until encountering truly bizarre monstrosities, beasts more than capable of threatening a young dragon.

Left battered by a sadistic creature, Pearlheart dragged himself across the wandering contagion, where an ageing tribe of the Earthshaker's followers who nested in Greatwyrm's Breach patched him up, and took him under their crackling, dusty wings. The wizened warriors taught him how to handle himself against the monstrosities which all too often probed at their southern border. After recuperating, a triumphant Pearlheart fought his way across the frightening wastes, and eventually wound his way back towards the Windsinger's domain, following rumors of Sinistral's travels.

After finally reuniting with Sinistral and staying for plenty of nights to regale her and Weneth with his tale, Riptide's offspring warmed up to and have started to train with the warrior, hoping to pick up a few chips from Pearlheart's block.
