Lady of the Dark Waters

Far in the back of our lair, past the bednests and past the hoard, lays the treasure dearest to this volcanic clan: a dark spring, clean, free of sulfur and entirely drinkable. Strange in a land where the only waters are salty oceans and hot springs, this cool freshwater well lays still except for the occasional plip of water off a stalactite. Well that, and the smooth splashes of Ea.

The spring is all that matters to Ea, its opaque waters being her bed and lair. She was not always the Lady of the Spring, but she was the first to find it. Some say she was called here, others say she was possessed by it. Either way, the only creatures she really seems to enjoy socializing with are her familiars. Not that she is overtly rude, but one gets a little strange living in a lake in the back of dark cave.
