Biography

Diaphaneity is the son of Striker, the son of Osiris (#546023). His mother, Kyra, is the daughter of Amaria, the daughter of Larimar (#105676). He and Chromaticity sent twenty-three Mirrors to the Lightweaver as soldier-monks before Gristle McThornbody decided to stay (and changed his name to David Ryder!); then they sent twenty-three more before Slate Slabrock decided to stay (but didn't change her name); then after two more nests Diaphaneity obtained a bar scroll and a toxin scroll, and he and Chromaticity began numbering their children rather than reuse names.

When Diaphaneity and Chromaticity aren't competing with the Founders for how many children to send to the Lightweaver's glorious forces, they're couriers; very fast, very hard to stop, very determined. They're no match for the Courier breed, but those dragons never live outside Courier enclaves.

Diaphaneity is a measure of the transparency of a gemstone. It seemed to fit given that he remained with the clan as a partner for a dragon named Chromaticity, though initially he caught my eye due to his id + being nicely colored. Here's his range with Chromaticity with the original color wheel:

That's a neat ID number!
Oh my gosh there is... so much going on with that offspring list, it's making me laugh pretty hard. The idea of having to pledge x offspring tot he lightweaver really appeals to me, perhaps that could be a good point for his lore! Perhaps he did something to anger the deity or the clan, perhaps something to do with being an arcane dragon and having to prove his loyalty?
The orange/brown apparel really brings out the rust contour, its so subtle otherwise. Perhaps more teardrop stuff would look good on him, maybe he adds one bead for each child he dropkicks to glittermumma, to keep track!
Idk, i hope this got some ideas turning, he's one unique boy.

Exalting Diaphaneity to the service of the Lightweaver will remove them from your lair forever. They will leave behind a small sum of riches that they have accumulated. This action is irreversible.
