Lyra

Lyra is a scholar of magic and the Arcane, brimming with curiosity and the spirit of inquiry. She adores her home, the Star Wood Strand, and she admires the Arcanist very much and seeks to follow his example in her day-to-day life, as best she can.

As a hatchling, she was very close to her mother, both because she was the only daughter of the nest and because she respected her mother’s religious devotion to the Lightweaver. However, things changed as Lyra grew.

Perhaps it is only the natural disillusionment of a child realising that her parent is only a dragon, nothing more than that. Perhaps. That is what Lyra would like to think, at least. She really does hope that is true.

If only she could could believe it. If only she did not know, deep down, that something is very wrong. If only she did not sometimes see her mother’s shadow move on its own, only ever out of the corner of her eye. If only her mother did not say such terrible things about something “greater and more wonderful than all the deities.”

Something is wrong and there is nothing Lyra will not do to find out what has happened to her mother.
